Aaron Hilliard, mushroom expert and mycology educator, takes us on a journey i the lush Olympic Mountains to forage for wild mushrooms like Hedgehogs (Hydnum umbilicatum), Winter Chanterelles (Craterellus tubaeformis), Golden Chanterelles (Cantharellus formosus), Pig’s Ears (Gomphus clavatus), Oyster Mushrooms (Pleurotus pulminarius), Late Fall Oyster Mushrooms (Sarcomyxa serotina), and more. Then tops its all off by building a small fire at the edge of a beautiful creek deep in the woods and cooks a nice chunk of meat on a cast iron skillet with some Chanterelles to eat.
