So, here we go with another small change and… extension of the extension. When I set all the batteries in the room, I realised I need some connection points in different locations. Having 16 on just one side is too crowded. So, what better way to install another duct across the roller door and make use of this space.
A flat metal bar and the 100x75mm large duct I already used for the battery wall, some holes, brackets and ready is the new extension. If it just would be that simple…
I also upgrade all battery connection points with RJ45 ports for the BMS communication. As they are all in parallel, the cabling is simple, and I can jump with a LAN cable from port to port. It still takes around 30-45min to make one connection box with the terminals, the RJ45, drilling, tapping and so on. And I have made only 3 boxes out of 16 so far…
