Here comes the first real-world test of the new JK-BMS V22. I have installed the small 100A version in one of my batteries but had to design and 3D-print an adapter mounting plate to make it work. Also, the front panel needed modification because the comms board now has 5 DIP switches instead of 4. No problem, a bit of DIY work, and the BMS was finally installed and connected.
So, here we go, the first full charge of this battery with this BMS and it didn’t take long until the balancer started. I charged this 16s 100Ah battery pack to 55.6V and the cell voltage delta was around 170mV at this voltage. And the balancer did its job… but how good and effective did it work?
