Wind Farms

Octopus Energy, one of the UK’s largest suppliers, has signed a major deal with energy giant Shell to buy renewable electricity from the world’s largest offshore wind farm. Octopus, the UK’s fourth largest energy supplier, has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Shell Energy Europe Limited, allowing it to receive electricity generated by its Dogger Bank offshore wind farm project. The £3.6 billion Dogger Bank wind farm, currently under construction, will become the largest wind farm in the world. Once completed, the site will generate 3.6 GW of green energy, enough to power about 6 million homes each year.
