In this Our Changing Climate climate change video essay, I explore why we need degrowth this year, the next year, and many years into the future. Specifically, I ask questions like what is degrowth? and why do we need degrowth? in order to truly understand how we might build a more ecologically harmonious world and escape the climate crisis. Additionally, I argue that degrowth can’t exist under capitalism and that for degrowth to be truly successful, we need an ecosocialist degrowth.
